In addition, New Jersey Tax Lien Certificates are secured by real estate. According to New Jersey law a property owner has Two (2) years to pay Middlesex County the amount the winning bidder paid to purchase the Tax Lien Certificates plus 18% per annum 4% - 6% or risk forfeiting the property to the person who purchased the Tax Lien Certificates at the Middlesex County Tax Lien Certificates sale.
