In New Jersey, the County Tax Collector will sell Tax Lien Certificates to winning bidders at the Ocean County Tax Lien Certificates sale. According to state law New Jersey Tax Lien Certificates can earn as much as 18% per annum 4% - 6% on the amount winning bidders pay to purchase New Jersey Tax Lien Certificates. In addition, New Jersey Tax Lien Certificates are secured by real estate. According to New Jersey law a property owner has Two (2) years to pay Ocean County the amount the winning bidder paid to purchase the Tax Lien Certificates plus 18% per annum 4% - 6% or risk forfeiting the property to the person who purchased the Tax Lien Certificates at the Ocean County Tax Lien Certificates sale.
