In Montana, the County Tax Collector will sell Tax Lien Certificates to winning bidders at the Park County Tax Lien Certificates sale. According to state law Montana Tax Lien Certificates can earn as much as 10% per annum 2% on the amount winning bidders pay to purchase Montana Tax Lien Certificates. In addition, Montana Tax Lien Certificates are secured by real estate. According to Montana law a property owner has Two (2) or three (3) years to pay Park County the amount the winning bidder paid to purchase the Tax Lien Certificates plus 10% per annum 2% or risk forfeiting the property to the person who purchased the Tax Lien Certificates at the Park County Tax Lien Certificates sale.
